On the seventeenth day of December..

I have to admit that this may be one of the worst decisions I have made, but it looked so cute!

I think I forgot that MY kids would be using this, and they would want to use it over and over and over again!!!  I do have to admit that it was very cute and funny to see them all having so much fun.

On the fifteenth day of December...

...Jack participated in his preschool's Christmas Program.  They had 2 weeks of practicing their songs and choreographed moves.  We had this down, we practiced at home, when he let me sing a long, we practiced in the car, we were good to go!

I got Jack all dressed in his "Handsome" clothes, and away we went to show off his talent.

We arrived, slapped on his Santa hat and away he went to perform...and I think the nerves set in with all those people looking at him.

Then it was time to get his jingle bells and that's when the magic happened...

While there was no singing of the words, no choreographed dance moves, he had a great time (even though he looks scared to death), and I think we'll be better prepared next year!

On the fourteenth day of December..

...we attended Rory's CCE (or as I knew it, CCD) Advent program.  The 5th graders put on the pageant and the other grades sang the songs.  I don't have any pictures, but in case you were wondering, the girl who played Mary wasn't as good as I was so many years ago, but I am a little critical.

On the thirteenth day of December..

...we watched Kung Fu Panda Christmas or something like that.  I guess it just isn't Christmas without a little Kung Fu Panda!  (Of course we had popcorn.)

I like how Jack doesn't even turn his head away from the TV while fishing for some popcorn.
Brendan wasn't really into this holiday special, so he thought he would spread some holiday cheer by sharing handfuls of popcorn with me..
Jack thought that was very nice, so he did the same...

Rory likes her popcorn too much, so she didn't feel the need to share!

On the eleventh day of December...

..we got our Christmas tree!!!
The kids annual ornaments from Mammy and Kip

We had a cut a lot off the top so the angel would fit!

Jack and I hanging Lightning McQueen front and center.

Brendan and I hanging his fire truck.

Little Miss Thing was all about taking charge of the decorating!

I love our tree!

On the tenth day of December...

...we had a little problem  :(  Our plan was to go to the annual downtown Christmas parade..this thing is HUGE, it's 3 hours long!  Problem is, Jack woke up Saturday with a burst ear drum and therefore, in a pretty grumpy mood.

On the bright side, Brendan was going to his first Birthday party!!!!  Bryan took him to Sean's party, his friend from school, and they had a great time!

Rory, Jack and I stayed home and crafted a gingerbread train!

When I say crafted, I mean ate most of the candy and the frosting which then made the train cars collapse about 2 seconds after I snapped this picture!  Fa la la la la!!!

On the ninth day of December...

...we had milk and cookies and crafts with Santa!

You'll just have to trust us that Santa was there..we're still waiting on the pictures!
