Spring time...a breath of fresh air!

Well on the first day of Spring here in Kansas it snowed, and snowed and snowed....6 inches. Not the best way to start Spring, or so I thought. Instead of trying to rush of winter and get spring here I stopped for a moment to look around at what we have, nice how a snow day will make you do that! I know I keep saying, "I wish one of the boys would start walking, if would make things easier for me." Now, it really would, because carrying 2 twenty pound boys around isn't the easiest thing in the world, but I realized I get to hold them! The time is coming quickly when they won't want to be held, or hugged or snuggled with, and it makes me sad.

Rory is going to 5 in May, and I can't believe that time has come and gone! She will be a Kindergartener in the fall, and she is always quick to tell me that "I'm not a baby, I'm a big girl" when I call her my baby.

Brendan is just about ready to walk, he is such a little boy now! He is into books and trucks and getting into the mud and playing with balls! It was just yesterday that he was born, and we wondered, although not once outloud, would we ever be able to bring this baby home, would he make it?? Well, he has made it through so much and then some. He is a tough little boy, and he has made our family so much better and stronger, and much more appreciative of everything that we have! He is becoming independent in his play, but he still loves to sit with Mommy and Daddy and just have some quiet time too!

Jack, oh my Jack. Jack was the calmest baby, just going with the flow, which at the time was exactly what we needed, but now, watch out world! Jack is everywhere and into everything and is oh so proud of it too! He has a smile and a look that makes me scared! He is going to get away with so much and try everything at least once! He is such a joyful child, and he is so happy to have the best playmates in the world!

Bryan and I are so lucky to have 3 amazing kids, who have the truest smiles, the truest most hardy laughs. They give us a reason every single day to be so appreciative that we get to be their parents!
