Here's John Edward!!!

It started out so promising that baby #3 would be a normal delivery since Bryan was home and there was no looming deployment. Oh how wrong we were!!
We headed to the hospital on MLK Day for a scheduled induction. Everything started off fine, a little slow, but things were moving in the right direction. Unfortunately at 11:30pm the doctor came in and told Bryan and I that the baby's heart rate was decelerating after each contraction instead of with the contractions. Next thing we knew we were being wheeled into the OR and 10 minutes later at 12:07am on January 20 Jack was out and was screaming his head off! I thought that we were in the clear, Jack was out and I could hear him crying, and Bryan was over with him admiring his handy work. Once again, we were wrong!
Jack had a lot of fluid in his lungs which required him to get oxygen and then a trip to the NICU. Those were not the words we wanted to hear. Jack was in the NICU for 2 weeks, thankfully I was able to stay on in the hospital for the first 5 days recovering, so I was only an elevator ride away from him.
